After months of living outerwear free, it’s finally time to work the knitwear and metallics back into rotation. The burgundy hair seems to be sticking around and I’m loving being back in the camel, burnt orange, plum purple and teal blue hues of the festive season. A huge thank you to room2 hometels for providing the homely and impeccably cosy chic location for this Autumn Edit.
Pleats please! There’s nothing like a powerful wide leg trouser, even if I’m slightly verging on looking like a metallic pirate. Vertical pleats are a huge trend this year, not to mention they work wonders to elongate the hell out my 5″0 frame! I’ve paired them with black chantilly lace from top to toes and geometric gold accessories. This outfit is quintessentially and utterly… me! I would genuinely wear this ensemble all season if I could get away with it.

I am forever on the look out for chunky knit jumpers, let’s be honest you can’t survive autumn/winter in the UK without layering them up. I’ve pushed the boat out with a sunflower yellow striped knit, which I thought would make me look like I belong in The Simpsons as I have quite a sallow complexion anyway. Somehow, it works favorably for my skin tone! By layering a cosy knit over a teal pencil skirt, in-formalizes the structure of the skirt and softens up the whole look. Of course I had to add some metallic Sophia Websters to toughen it up with another pattern.

I’m following my own advice by wearing a skirt which is clashing prints all over the fabric. Folklore patterns, animal print and baroque curls: nailing all the a/w prints on the one garment. A touch of fringing & a block of blue knitwear to balance & tone down the look.
To polish it off, the gold belt is back & my patent Dolce & Gabanna Cinderella boots that you may have spotted from my ‘Functioning Adult?’ blogpost. I have an unhealthy addiction to ankle boots; what better season to whip a statement pair out from the depths of my wardrobe!
